The Care Your Deserve
A t Rudoy Medical, we focus on your total health and wellness, including both physical and mental health. In fact, a large part of our practice involves behavioral health therapy and counseling. Sometimes patients see us specifically for health concerns like anxiety or depression. Other times, our behavioral health team works with our internal medicine staff to address the behavioral components of physical health. For example, patients who wish to stop smoking or lose weight. Think you could benefit from counseling? Here are answers to a few common questions we hear about our therapy services.
Why Consider Therapy?
There are many reasons to consider asking a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other counselor about therapy. Ask yourself these questions. If the answer to any of them is “yes,” you may want to make an appointment to talk to one of our therapy staff.
- Do you have feelings of anxiety or depression?
- Are you struggling with feelings of grief after the loss of a loved one?
- Do you have fears or phobias that are impacting your day-to-day life?
- Have you struggled to stop smoking or reach a weight loss goal?
- Have you been diagnosed with a mental health concern such as bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, or obsessive compulsive disorder?
What Happens in Therapy?
When you visit Rudoy Medical, our staff will ask you about your particular situation to learn about your desires and wishes. We will inquire about why you are seeking counseling, what type of symptoms you are experiencing, and what treatment you may have had in the past. We may also use various screening tools to evaluate your current situation so we can develop the most effective treatment plan for you. Our goal is always to help you realize your full potential.
Who Will I Talk To?
Our therapy staff includes psychiatrists, mental health nurse practitioners, and an on-site psychotherapist. You may work with one or several of them, depending upon your particular treatment goals. Dr. Vsevolod Rudoy is our lead psychiatrist. Dr. Rudoy understands the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and uses his more than twenty years of experience and continued learning to provide outstanding medication management therapy to promote healthy living and a better quality of life for our clients.
